We are so excited and thrilled to have the Fall/Winter edition of our house collection from Jennifer Glasgow Design! This is her most extensive and impressive collection yet and includes the first Glasgow COAT!


Pioneer meets Sailor meets Cowgirl meets Victorian Gothic and we have been anxiously awaiting their arrival. Come get these babies while they last!


These hotties are made locally, and Jen uses eco and natural fibres almost exclusively. For garments not constructed of these, a 2% contribution is made to Santropol Roulant or Equiterre, which is a fantastic way of contributing socially and ecologically to the Montreal community.

New Talent, Vintage Classics

Caroline Villamarin makes bold vintage-inspired dresses out of gorgeous high quality fabrics and now they are in store at the General! Handmade in Australia with bold japanese and swedish-inspired prints in structured cottons, these dresses flatter your curves instead of clinging. The kind of dress you feel like a million bucks wearing.

Another new label is being carried at the General, Tu m'aimes-tu? Three textile school grads got together to create this line of handmade classic cuts. Can't wait to see what else is in store for the future!

Inchoo BIjoux

We've got fun and fanciful new jewellery in store from Inchoo Bijoux, a small jewellery design company located in Quebec City. They make their earrings just the way we like it: big and ethical. The fur is recycled and the feathers are from a local farm in Beauce. They dye and treat the feathers themselves. Perfectly chic and conscientious to up the ante of your favourite outfit!

Swooning over Sheena

We are swooning with jewellery love for the new pieces by Sheena Jewellery. Right now she is casting antique lace into silver and brass - these pieces are so lovely and delicate and irresistible. Sheena Jewellery is completely designed and hand made by Sheena Purcell, a jeweller based in our lovely city of Montreal.

Sheena comes from a long line of jewellers and metalsmiths and grew up on the beautiful windswept island of Cape Breton so you can see why it's so awesome. Each piece is one of a kind so get it while they last!
