Double H Lego Rings

For those who never got over their lego phase: Our friend Harvey (aka Double H) just dropped by a new batch of lego rings and lego plastic-knuckles. The last batch was made out of acrylic but with this new version, the ring part is in solid silver! They are amazing! We also have a selection of his skull rings. There is a vast array of sizes and colours to chose from. Get one for every finger!

Lovely Lockets from Frug

We just got in a second batch of these extra sweet lockets in a variety of shapes of size from Montreal jewelery mavens Frug. There are several models to chose from: a classic oval, or heart shaped locket, or perhaps a doggie cameo? I've also included a couple of pictures of some other Frug necklaces that we love! For more pics of Frug jewellery (we've actually have quite a good selection of their stuff) visit their website at www.frug.ca

Furni Make Fine Time

Our favourite local homeware designers Furni strike again with a batch of new time keepers.

Special for this season: We have in the all-new Alma "EK" digital alarm clock designed by Danish skateboard artist Emil Kozak. It's being produced in a limited edition numbered run of 50 units... And we have only two of them in the store! So do not waste precious time!

Also, Furni have collaborated with website coolhunting.com on this "rad" (their word) 1980's style digital watch. It includes a genuine PVC band, is completely water resistant, and comes complete with a Duran Duran quote engraved on the back with a price that makes it perfect stocking stuffer/secret-santa material. Very rad indeed.

Creepy Creatures by Nadia Moss

Here's the first batch of pix from our new art exhibit: "From The Attic" on until January 10th.

Painter/Sculpter Nadia Moss is one of four contributors. She is showing some new illustrutions and this batch of weirdy "manimal" type creatures that creep us out in the best possible way. Their faces are very eerie and scarily expressive!

More pix from the other artists to come in the following days!

I'm seeing Robots

Brand new to the store! Glass robot pendants from Toronto's Rockettoro studios (aka designer/glass-worker Izik Levy). These little cuties come in two different sizes: regular and Jr robot. And all are adorable, sweet, little charmers that make us smile even when we don't feel like it. We also have in a batch of other Levy spawned creature know as the "Cloud Squid", which are all part of what he calls his "character" series. We could just eat them up, but they are made of glass and that would be dangerous.

It smells nice in here

Recently, we've been going down to NDG alot to shop and just walk around really. There's a little strip along Sherbrooke Street with a couple of nice vintage furniture places, a great book/record store, many many Roti joints and a little natural bath product shop called "Station Knowlton". They started out in the town of Knowlton in the Eastern Townships (where they still have a store) but are now based in Montreal (I think their workshop is in St.Henri). We now stock a small selection of their products. Our favourites so far have been the vanilla cream (It smells so delicious and the scent lingers for hours) and I'm pretty much addicted to their lavender body butter and peppermint lip balm. Everything is made of natural ingredients and packaged very simply which is a nice change from the usual drug store fare. And it's not expensive: most of what we sell is in the 4-5$ range. So treat yourself, or someone else! We've got samples out but they're going fast (especially the vanilla which is a staff favourite).
